Methods and tips of cleaning plush toys

Plush toys are cute, soft, and beloved companions for kids no matter what mood they are in. However, even a good quality plush toy may be a den of germ and dust mite, as well as an assassin of personal hygiene if you don't clean them regularly.

So how to clean plush toys, especially large one, since kid's saliva, dandruff, booger, eye discharge, dust from the air, etc. can easily stick on plush toys?

Precautions:
1. Remember to read the instruction of toys before cleaning.
2. Ensure that you have taken out all the electronic components of toys before cleaning.

For plush toys that cannot be washed in water
Method one:
Use pieces of cotton gauze sprayed with disinfectant to wipe off plush toys, then put them in a cool place. After the plush toys are dry, place them under the sun for a couple of hours. Make sure to REGULARLY clean them.

Method two (also can be used for exercising):
Put the dirty plush toys and half a bowl of coarse salt into a plastic bag (or other eco-friendly replacements), shake them dozens of times.

Tips for washing plush toys
1. For high-end and washable plush toys, wash them in warm water (30℃ - 40℃) so that their plush won't be damaged.
2. In order to prevent color fading and bleeding of plush toys, it would be better to wash plush toys with different colors separately.
3. You can use a moderate amount of new, wool-silk detergent, coarse salt, or baking soda when washing plush toys, which are not easy to cause damage to plush toys like coloring fading or turn your dirty plush toy into a clean bald toy.
4. Washing plush toys with a large strength, i.e. squeezing, pinching, depilating and karate moves are forbidden. (And choose a soft brush.)
5. Washing will be much easier if you soak plush toys in detergent for a spell beforehand.
